From a friend in brief..
"Parcelforce / GLS shipments to EU (Amazon mandate) are simply not leaving the UK. Apparently they're all being "held in containers." I'd understand a delay. But these are total stops. This stuff isn't moving. There is no cycle.

For other packages I've used UPS (who have mostly been faultless in all the time I've used them). Stuff is getting into Europe mostly (some stuff gets stuck in the UK for a bit). But then the packages just sit in warehouses literally a handful of miles away from destination.
One package has been a month. One EXPRESS package just scans every day from a warehouse. What the absolute fuck is happening here. These seem like vastly different issues, both in UK AND in EU. UPS was getting stuff delivered in January and now it's like they've just given up?
So now I'm losing my mind and wondering who the fuck can I use?"
He sent me copies of tracking reports. Incredibly bad. Days after days of "your parcel is delayed due to brexit related disruption. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible"
"Express" taking 2 weeks...

and on the Hannants public notice website h/t @GrumpyScot Message; There are still problems with sending parcels to the EU. There has not been much progress this week sadly. We are sorry but we still can't start accepting orders from EU knowing so many delays and problems exist.
We are going to have to wait longer before we can re-open for EU orders. If we send orders and a month later they are still not delivered it will cause too many problems.
We have started to send to Ireland again. @LloydClark1
On Monday we are going to send a few trial parcels

(to trade customers with shops) via DPD. Hopefully there will not be any problems.
40 of the parcels we sent via Parcelforce/GLS 3 weeks ago have still not been delivered. None have been delivered in Italy at all.
There are still big delays for goods coming in from the EU.

Our Eduard order that should of been here by January 25th is still not here. But the smaller order we sent to Eduard February 1st has arrived ok. No sign of our Special Hobby order. One supplier will not send our order because they are worried it will not arrive @gideon_
I can tell you again what the main issue is and has been from 2016. .as I have tweeted often.
Out of the EU (CU&SM) in UK alone it was recognised for now extra 230 million customs declarations pa on 2020 volumes, UK would need to find an extra 50,000 customs agents & IT support

This will be replicated across EU27 depending on how much each state individually trades with UK. Like UK commercial businesses they too did not want to recruit, train and pay ("50,000") staff to be sat around with no job to do. Which would have been the case until 1/1/21.
There has been your catch 22 throughout.
A new equilbrium will be reached as *sufficiently trained* customs staff can rise to meet a level of falling off trade demand.
It will be a painful, decimating or terminal process for businesses depending on when this convergence is met
