1. Willpower.
Any form of exercise that requires willpower is not sustainable.
To stay fit in the long run -> You MUST limit your exercise to whatever level doesn´t feel like work.
When willpower is out of the equation your natural inclination will be to increase your workout.

When you are active every day your body feels good about it, so it will be easy to increase your exercise level.
Ask any dedicated runner how they feel the day off. They hate it. That´s where you want to be.
And that only happens if you make fitness a daily habit.

2. Do What Works for You.
I don´t recommend adopting an exercise plan just because people who have completely different bodies and brains enjoy it.
You need a natural and easy way to evolve into a fitness routine that works for you.
And the beginning is to be active every day.

3. Be Active EVERY DAY.
Let´s say you propose to run 10 miles everyday -> that'd be a goal. And it would probably set you up for failure.
Almost everyone can be active in some way.
The most important part of the ''Be active every day'' system is the ''every day'' part.

4. Motivation to Exercise.
You should never exercise so much in one day that you won´t feel like working out the next.
Your daily exercise will give you a reward every time -> reduces stress, boost energy, etc.
Exercise becomes a habit when you do it every day without fail.

5. Reward Yourself.
I find it important to reward yourself after exercise with a healthy snack/something you enjoy.
By putting those pleasures right after the end of the workout, you will develop a strong association between exercise and good feelings.

6. When You don´t Feel Working Out.
Instead of doing what you feel you can´t do, do what you can do. Put your workout clothes and sneakers on.
The feeling of having your attire on will make you feel more committed to workout as it'll make you think positively about exercising.
