Let’s talk recovery and rest today. An optimal workout routine will also include a recovery process. Our body is always trying to recover from stress( workout) and seeks to return itself to homeostasis. There are two types of recovery process - active and passive
Active recovery is like going for a walk, cycling, light jogging, swimming, stretching, foam rolling. Passive recovery is getting a massage, ice bath, sauna and sleep. Give your muscles time to rebuild. Rest days should be part of your workout protocol
Some tips to recover fast
1. Hydrate consistently. Make sure you drink water consistently through out the day
2. Eating a well rounded diet tailored to your body has a major impact on your recovery. Eat the right kind of food for your body
3. Understand the signs ur body...
.. is giving. Step back few steps when it says so and push harder the day it signals.
4. Mindfulness and meditation go a long way to help you recover. Do breathing exercises at least twice - after workout and before sleep. I do 5 mins post workout and 15 before sleep
5. Use foam rollers regularly. It will help release soreness from soft tissues and it will help improve your range of motion. Here’s a sample routine I do https://www.instagram.com/p/CJiB_lpABlT/?igshid=v665syidxuns
Get enough sleep. A good nights sleep is most important to muscle recovery. Try to shoot for 7-8 hours per night. It allows your body to to rest and rejuvenate.

Give importance to these and be assured to live a pain and soreness free life.
