HR folks, here are four important topics to address in 2021 if you haven't already:
1) Protocol for employees who give notice (i.e., don't let rogue managers walk them out the door out of spite)

2) Plan for continuing WFH program once COVID-19 is less of a threat (for those employees who prefer to work from home indefinitely)
3) Opening the door to fully remote employees. How many of your current vacancies could be performed from home (i.e. from anywhere)? Could some of your new hires be located in other time zones, for instance? Imagine how your available talent pool would expand if they could!
4) Including salary ranges in job ads. If you do not include a salary range in every job ad, ask yourself "Why not?" The MOST competitive/marketable candidates won't reply to ads that lack this critical information.
Leaving the salary range out of your job ads sends the unfortunate message that your firm is:
CHEAP
DISHONEST
LESS THAN TRANSPARENT
None of these words accurately describe your company, so why let those bad associations persist?
