Do you also sometimes struggle to focus?

Do you get stuck to create relevant content?

I’m going to give a framework to help you with that.

///A thread///
The framework is FOCUS.

Fix problems
Offer solutions
Collect and curate
Urgency
Selective attention
FIX PROBLEMS

When you fix problems you can provide value.

People will be willing to listen to you.

Consume content that will help you with this.

Side note: Don’t remember to ignore your mental health.

Fix your mental problems first before you try to help other people
Example

My previous thread went about intermittent fasting and the problems that can co-exist with this as a female.

Somebody asked me something about this topic.

I noticed a gap of knowledge which I could solve. https://twitter.com/SarahThooft/status/1356635636288139267
OFFER SOLUTIONS

People don’t only focus on problems.

They need solutions!

By educating yourself, you can educate others about the solutions in your domain.
Example

I collect quotes that helped me to change my vision.

Like this one:

“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”
-Viktor Frankl.
COLLECTION

Use digital media in your leverage.

Collect all your ideas and sources of inspiration in a database.

Organize them in such a way you never lose them again.

Collect to curate.
Example

My organization looks like this:

I have 2 folders; inbox and outbox.

Inbox is all content that I consume.

My outbox contains summaries, quotes, ideas, and stories.

My outbox is organized in folders around the type of content.
URGENCY

People are emotional beings.

We are beings in search of a little Dopamine rush.

See your content as a sales offer.

Your readers will receive benefits when they decide to engage with your content.

No way to resist.
Example

Learn and adapt.

Find the interest of your audience in your niche.

Present a problem.

Propose to offer a solution or way of engagement.

That’s it.
SELECTIVE ATTENTION

You have a limited amount of mental energy each day.

To be clever, you need to divide that energy smart.

Be selective in what you consume.

Use the framework I offer to help you with that.
Example

Create the content on a fixed date without distraction.

For me, that is on Saturday morning.

I look into my collection and schedule all my tweets.

This gives me a head-start to focus on consuming content for the next week.
Quick recap of the FOCUS framework:

Focus on fixing problems.
Offer solutions to these problems.
Collect to curate efficiently.
Urgency is what makes people react.
Selective attention is your leverage.
This was my thread on how to have more focus on this platform.

Next week I’m going to provide you with a framework on how to create more meaningful tweets.

Make sure to follow me if you don’t want to miss out that thread.
