Reason which I frequently observe--

1. Giving up on a task while there still is time. Ironically, thinking that too much time has gone by--

This is the most dire situation there can be. You know you have to do something and still do, you feel guilty and
frustrated as a result. The frustration is so high it pulls you to an addiction which leads to depression down the line.

2. Bad physical health-- Here, I am not talking about terminal diseases but the ones like obesity, which are totally your own inflicted wounds.
For the men, it is the lower testosterone level, peer lack of confidence and lethargy in general.

3. Phone addiction-- It is more real than it sounds. Mere 30 minutes of exposure to low frequency radiation reduces serum testosterone level dramatically. And here you are,
going for 8+hours.
