Research shows that the high levels of stress hormone we're producing due to the pandemic inhibit perceptual learning & memory formation & interfere with our ability to assimilate facts & focus on a task.

High levels of cortisol also suppress production of uplifting neurotransmitters serotonin & dopamine, which is likely to increase the chances of low mood & eventually depression. Decreased dopamine levels are likely to intensify ADHD traits. It’s bloody tough neurologically rn x
