Imagine you’re in the waning hours of your life

You are:

- Old and biological clock is tired of ticking

- Terminally ill and know the end is near

You’re reflecting on the life you’ve lived

And you feel like the time was wasted

You wish you could have done more, been more
Do you want to go out with a bang or a whimper?

A bang knowing you did everything you wanted.

A whimper knowing you failed at this thing called life.

When you reflect on the life you’ve lived

Here are the things you’re NOT going to care about.
1. How safe and practical you were.

You’re not going to look back and say “I could have done something more exciting with my life like starting a business I love, traveling the world.

But I’m proud I chose to become an accountant albeit devoid of passion or personal interest.
2. How much embarrassment you avoided

You’re not going to look back and think “well, the comfort of knowing I never risked being laughed at for having an out-of-the-box idea clearly outweighs how great it would have felt to give the idea a shot.”
How much you kept up with the Joneses

You’re not going to care much about the opinions of people you didn’t even like in the first place.

You won’t be elated that you too bought a Lexus and showed Kyle across the street that you have an equivalent car.
Yet these are often the things we care about while life is happening.

Many (not all of us) spend a great deal of our lives focusing on things that will never matter to us when it’s all said and done.
Think about dying.

What if today was your last day on earth and you spent it complaining about the weather, went to a job you hated, and came home to “Netflix n’ chill”?

Is that how you want to go out?
The remedy?

- Do things you enjoy & be creative
- Make an Impact and Leave a Legacy
- Be a good person.

Those are not the only way, but there are certainly the first steps.

Do have a great life.
