Want to be a better writer?

Writing is a great way to earn money online, whether you're starting a blog, writing sales emails, or writing a novel!

Here's my list of 5 ways to work on developing your writing skills

[thread]
1. Write every day

You don't want to get into the trap of only writing when you feel inspired

Schedule a time to sit down and write for at least 20 minutes

Writing each day helps you be more creative and produce more content
2. Read every day

Exposing yourself to quality content helps you learn how to 👇

- Model what works

- Widen your vocabulary

- Study plot and characterization (for fiction)

- Find inspiration
3. Set deadlines (big & small)

Let's say you want to write a book - that's a big goal

Big and scary goal

Break it up into smaller goals: 1 chapter a week, 1 book within a month

Setting deadlines helps clarify your goal and give you a date to write towards
4. Don't listen to the negative voices in your head

✖️It's been done before
✖️I can't do this
✖️I'm not qualified

These doubts are rooted in fear and are lies you're telling yourself

Practice mindfulness and build your confidence

You really can write that book
5. Embrace feedback

Writing is close to the soul. When you put a lot of work into your words, it stings if anyone has any criticism of it

But you need to change your mindset and start seeing criticism as helpful

Use feedback to make your work stronger

That's what it's for
