** Dietary changes for a healthy and painless menstruation ( periods )**

Food consumed a week before and after menstruation has influence on
- Interval of menstrual cycle
- Duration
- intensity of pain and blood flow
- Mental and physical energy levels
To experience a smooth and painless period adhere to below
-plenty of mental rest (meditate if you like )
-light exercise such as walking and slow yoga
- Pranayama (breathing techniques)
- Natural cooling foods such as as cucumber, bottle gourd, carrot
- Consume dates, almonds and cashews for breakfast
- Include pomegranate and non pasteurised cow milk
- plan a non spicy light meals
- Consume green either as salad or kootan (Brahmi, Spinach and amaranth is best )

- Practice absolute silence for atleast a hour in solitude
- Avoid heavy grains
- Include sprouted beans
- Avoid deep fried food and meat of any sort
- Avoid chilli powder and sauce
