Selling your products on social media is rarely a simple, straightforward process.

Social media is about being "social" and interacting, not just broadcasting your latest offer or pitching your latest deal

How to sale on Twitter without being too "salesy"

A thread.
1. Focus on branding and not sales.

Most people don’t realize that when you are focusing on selling books, you’re doing sales. Not branding

The best advice for anyone aspiring to build a well-known personal brand is to hold off monetizing their audience for as long as possible.
The longer you go without monetizing, the more economics you’ll build on the back end.

The reason why Avengers, Captain America topped the box office Is because they built on brands and not a sales funnel.
2. Give value on a day to day basis.

On the streets of Twitter, nobody knows you

Change that by showcasing your expertise, show people why they should follow you, show that you have sufficient skills to talk about that service

Help enough people and even more will buy from you
3. Make friends.

People only buy from sellers they trust

What better way to build trust than to reach out to people needing help?

If you are a small account, offer to help for free.

Build relationships in the DMs

And when you have an offering, your friends will recommend you
4. Highlight pain points and offer solutions.

You need to demonstrate that you understand the struggles of your target audience, and can provide relevant solutions to help.

Listen to the key issues and challenges your audience faces, and consider exactly how your products fit.
5. Paint the Vision

To make your prospect buy from you, you have to create a gap between ‘What is’ and ‘What can be’.

Show the client a world where their problem no longer exists, and even better – surprise them with value they don’t even expect.
