Squats:

Squats are the best damn full body movement in existence

Full range of motion squats build full body strength, power and size

It hammers the posterior chain, which is responsible for every human movement: jumping, pulling, pushing, etc

Sound important?

It is. ⬇️
Deadlift:

The deadlift uses every muscle, bone, and fiber of your being including your brain.

They should be an essential part of anyones program.

Nothing builds back and posterior chain strength and resilience like correct, heavy pulling.

Sound important?

They are. ⬇️
Bench Press:

The bench press is the best exercise for upper body STRENGTH as it allows you to load your upper body with heavy weights.

Heavy weights = strength

The bench hits the pecs/delts/triceps. Your lats and LEGS are even used.

Sound important?

They are. ⬇️
Overhead Press:

Properly performed overhead pressing is the best way to ensure strong, properly functioning, and resilient shoulders.

Everything from your hands to your feet is involved in getting the bar overhead

Shoulders, arms, legs, abs, back

Sound important?

They are ⬇️
Chin-Up

Chin-ups incredibly underrated.

They build much needed upper body strength.

When performed through full ROM and slowly overloaded

They have the ability to pack on serious mass onto your lats, back and biceps and forearms.

They are ⬇️
Row:

You can never do too much back work. ROW. TO. GROW.

Barbell, DB, Cable, they are all important.

Rows help with proper shoulder and scapular function.

They also help pack on slabs of meat on your backside, which everyone needs.

Sound Important?

They are ⬇️
Carry (Farmers):

I don't see anything more primal for humans

Than picking up heavy shit and taking it for a walk

They target your entire body: Upper, Lower, Core

Stabilizing a load while walking with it

They are also a great conditioning tool

They are. ⬇️
A few things to keep in mind:

All of these movements are simple in theory

They are highly difficult to perform correctly

BUT THEY ARE THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK EXERCISES IN EXISTENCE.

Learn to do them correctly by recording yourself or hire a knowledgable coach
