So I've had the joy (seriously) of interviewing and hiring people over the last several months for my team and I'd like to provide a singular piece of advice: FOLLOW UP WITH THE EMPLOYER!

People contacting me over LinkedIn, Twitter, or email are getting jobs because I do this off the side of my desk. I've tried to be systematic about it and use the corporate tools, but there are so many applications and there are three of us interviewing.

So people who message me get attention. Those who don't can still get interviews, but it's an order of magnitude harder to keep space in my mind when I'm less familiar with the name or have less context about your application.

In any case, I'm still interviewing. Hired 3, LFM.
