How I do research content for my Twitter profile?

I'm sure this will inspire your own research process as well.

Follow along with me.

//A Thread//
I have 7 themes I focus on.

Remember that focus is the most important part of your research.

These are my 7 themes:

1. Brain facts
2. Brain health
3. Emotional intelligence
4. Note taking
5. Mental models
6. Metalearning
7. Productivity
Each article I consume will be divided in one of these categories.

Right away I will decide if it is tweet worthy or not.

If not, then I eliminate it!

Remember, FOCUS!
Where do I start?

I recommend that you start with content you naturally engage with.

Start to follow your natural interests.
I personally started my journey here on Twitter because of the following YouTube accounts:

@AliAbdaal
@wtennyvideos

Both give educational content on their own special way. Throughout their accounts I found different sources of additional content.
How do I collect all my sources?

My main way of collecting articles is through e-mail.

E-mail is perfect for organization of the influx of information.

I check e-mail about twice daily.

This is perfect to keep me updated with new reads without getting overwhelmed.
I mainly use the following systems:

- Newsletters
- Google scholar alerts
- Medium notifications
Popular newsletters I use and like:

- @IAmMarkManson for science-based life advice.
- @ness_labs for neuro-science based content.
- @AliAbdaal for productivity tips.
- @waitbutwhy for interesting ideas illustrated.
Google scholar alerts:

Me and @Th3Brainiac are working on something together about flow and neuroscience. I keep myself updated on new articles by having a Google scholar alert.

You could also use a RSS feed. I might experiment with that one in the future.
Medium notifications:

Most of them get straight into the folder of deleted items. There are however certain pages that interest me:

- The Ascent
- BetterHumans
- Forge

Medium offers a lot of articles. Select heavily while asking yourself which article will be useful.
I have other less systemized ways to collect inputs of information like Twitter, books, conversations etc.

Not everything needs a system.

Just make it a habit to note down every single one of your great ideas!
