1. Create non-negotiables
Make sure that whatever habit you start off with first, make it non-negotiable!.

Every day, no matter what, you will complete this task even if your day goes south.

After a while, these habits will compound over time and you’ve created healthy systems!
2. A Gallon of water/day
The benefits of drinking a gallon of water are close to magic:

- Healthy skin, less acne
- Increase blood flow to your body
- Remove toxins from your system
- Aids digestion & regulating body temperature

The list goes on, drink your water!
3. NEGOTIATE with your significant other/family members to eat healthily.

This is THE most important tip!

When you make healthy changes, let those closest to you be known to the fact!

Do NOT allow them to sabotage you, work with them to make changes TOGETHER.
4. Meal Prep is KING

If you can control one meal a day whether it be breakfast or lunch, this makes it less likely for you to mess up your diet.

This cuts out your laziness, brings convenience, and most importantly saves time!!
5. Stay away from snacking … You’re not actually hungry!

Most of the time, you’re simply bored and looking for something to nibble on.

Snacks are mainly unhealthy foods, calorie-dense, and high in sodium/sugar.
6. Create a food log

This is EXTREMELY important for long term success.

Even to this day, I make sure to keep track of a log on the foods I eat for the week.

Therefore you know when you messed up, how you messed up, and what you can do to fix the problem for the future!
7. Wake up the next morning thinking about your goal

If you’re truly about change, prime yourself in the morning to think of your goal.

Not only does this help you start off on the right foot, but you will subconsciously work TOWARDS your goal!
8. Have an indulgence meal once/week MAX

One indulgent meal will not ruin your progress.

In fact, it may be beneficial to keeping you on track if you’re a crazy hard dieter!

This prevents you from running out of motivation AND is sustainable for the long-term.
9. Meet others to hold you accountable

Accountability groups are key!

Sometimes you lose faith in yourself.

Having these groups around to tell you NOT to fall off the wagon, stay on track, and progress to your goals is always beneficial.
10. Weight loss is NOT linear!

One week you may lose 2 pounds, and the following you may lose ½ a pound.

As long as you trend in the right direction, that’s all that matters!

Do not change a thing because you lose less weight.

You’re still making progress!

11. Do NOT drink your calories

Drinks are the worst way to consume your calories for the day.

A drink from Starbucks can be up to 500 calories, the equivalent of a meal!
