Approach is broken. We do not do what makes sense:

w/ rapid tests or making single dose vacc a priority when they work (both obvious benefits). We fail to do what's smart

Just to be clear - a booster dose is very important - As @VirusesImmunity has well described in her posts and I have discussed in mine too.

But we are in an emergency. If 80% of the 2 dose effectiveness holds w a single dose, then vaccinating 2x ppl is the smart ethical approach

Also - Im writing emphatically but I’m still a scientist. We should try this. We should see if it works. We should have been trialing it from the beginning bc we know the manufacturing limitations. We can start the trials today. But instead we are starting more trials w 2 doses
