Mentorship can not be bought. It can only be earned

You'll be surprised how responsive successful people can be when they see a younger version of themselves hustling to make their dreams a reality.

4 things you can do to attract a mentor.

A thread.
1. Educate yourself first

Study continually to get better at what you do.

Mentors are only interested in helping you if they feel that it is going to be of value.

Nothing attracts people to you faster than you developing a reputation for being up and coming in your field.
For those of you in engagement groups, you might have noticed that people only reach out to you when they've noticed how much effort you put on your own growth.

If you are not ready to grow, no one will help you.

The world is too busy for that.
2. Know where you are going.

Set clear goals for yourself in every area of your life.

You must know exactly what it is you want to accomplish before you start thinking of the type of people who can help you to accomplish it.

Mentors don't create dreams, they guide.
3. When someone presents themselves as your mentor, trust them.

Mentors get fulfillment out of seeing their ideas put in practice.

Nothing encourages a mentor to teach more than a student that takes what they learn, applies it, and then comes back for more.
It is always obvious who took advantage of those resources and who didn't.

You want to be the type of person who devours knowledge and makes the most of every opportunity to learn.

That's what makes you stand out, and that's what makes a mentor figure take notice.
4. Stay Humble.

Believe in yourself, but talk to people further along than you.

Have confidants who will shoot straight with you! And whatever you do, don't drive blind.

No one is telling you not to aim for the moon. Even the most successful people have mentors.
"There's a thin line between love and hate"

There's also a thin line between thinking too big and too small

Aim high, stay grounded

When you make it big, find a mentor for dealing with success

Always keep yourself open to continuing to learn

The journey never ends

Good luck
