Less than 2 weeks after @itsmedevclev & I's first date, I went to visit her at her aunt & uncle's house down in Kentucky for the weekend. (She was living out of state at the time).
As we began to leave for church, I got a flat tire less than 30 seconds after leaving the driveway

The tire was completely shredded. Oh, and it was a Sunday if you didn't catch that.
She immediately began to speak positivity into me and how this wasn't going to throw off our day.

On the ride to church, all that was going through my mind was that I NEEDED to get a new tire because I had work and clients the next morning in Indy and couldn't afford to miss at that time.
She continued to speak positivity and encouragement how it was going

to be perfectly fine regardless of what happened that day because we were spending quality time and facing our first obstacle together.
We went to church and listened to an amazing sermon at Southeast Church which just happened to be on healthy dating and I could only think

how fitting it was that we decided to not stay home, and go regardless the circumstances.
We got out of church and headed back toward her aunt & uncles and I'm calling every tire shop I could potentially think of to see if I can get a new one put on that day.

They were all closed...Except for 1 Goodyear that was 45 mins away.
So instead of eating lunch with her family like we originally planned, we made a run over there to get the new tire and decided to put it on ourself to save as much of the day as possible left.

It was in these moments that I grew to adore her so much more.
The situation could've thrown the whole weekend off, but we weren't about to let that happen. She stayed grounded which ultimately kept me grounded and now here we are

10 months later, happily married and in our apartment with our dog snuggled up with us.
We're both hustling our asses off doing what we love and creating a change in the world.
