Please stop wearing yourself out by creating alternative assessments all the time. Sometimes all you need is an avenue for a student to explain the concept in a different way.

Ideas:
- "Send me an email with everything you know about the topic?"

- Create a generic concept explanation form that has students identify the resources they used to learn more and space for them...

focus on creating different avenues for kids to show what they know, and you won't have to constantly be creating things. As a bonus, it can instill some choice and ownership at such a crucial time where the student is losing motivation because of a lack of success.
