Master thread of Threads-I believe and work upstream. That has been the basis of my success in family,work &health. Preempt the problem & try to keep it at bay. If u get sick ,u have to go to doctor but how abt not getting sick.Regular physical activity is the medicine.
It stimulates growth, maintenance, repair mechanism that builds capacities and slows ageing. Don’t get carried away by someone living a long life despite being sedentary or someone exercising yet dying young. Exceptions are there and many other factors come into play
Remember. People don’t die of old age, they die of inactivity. Start with at least 150 mins a week. Mix up cardio, HIIT and resistance training. Some mobility routine everyday. Gym rats don’t love cardio and cardio people hate weights. Unfortunately for ur own benefit mix it up.
Note that even a modest level of physical activity ( a 1000 calories a week) lowers the rate of death vs sedentary people by almost 40% and twice as much even better. Modest level means keeping HR at 50-70% of MHR.
Putting it all together - Exercise several hours a week, mostly cardio but also some weights and keep it up as you age. Exercise can foster vigor, vitality and fun. It’s good for your sleep, sex life and over all happiness. And keeps diseases away. Makes you confident.
