As a Marketer, not an agency bod...I see it all the time. Teams doing oganic social media with next to no paid media. It's suddenly very expensive when you count up the wage costs. Those CPMs go through the roof and you're more likely to be talking to the converted, over and over
The only organic with no spend I do on social, is to advise one man bands. Why? Because they're so small they can't meet capacity if they do start spending. That's a very small example, but eventually if they want to grow. They. need. to. spend.
