Are you a frequent worrier?

Worrying too much can cause
- High blood pressure
- Muscle tension
- Nausea
- Insomnia
- Irritability

But did you know there’s 2 different types of worrying?

Here’s how to make worrying work for you instead of causing you stress

(thread)
The only way to worry in a positive way is to divide your worries into two categories: unproductive or productive

An unproductive worry is when you worry about something out of your control

A productive worry is something that you’re able to control
If there’s something you can’t control - like the weather, or the economy

Then the one thing you can control is how you react to that situation

For example

- Being prepared
- Building new skills
- Making a change
If you’re worrying too much about something that’s out of your control, then you might have to let that go

There’s absolutely nothing you can do about it

So the only thing the worrying is doing is causing an increase in anxiety
A productive worry is something that you’re able to control

It’s a problem that has a possible solution

- How can you fix this?
- Who can you ask to learn how to fix it?
- Is the problem really that important?
- Does the problem have no solution? Can you let it go?
Whenever you find yourself obsessing about something you’re worrying about...ask yourself if it’s productive or unproductive

And then make the appropriate change
