Society "lost" the obesity crisis

Its not going away. Its not going to be "beaten" in any meaningful way at all

The harsh reality is that modern life is structured to be hypercaloric and fattening

Being overly fat is normalized

and being "healthy" makes you an outlier
The reality is that hundreds of billions of dollars will be spent treating the health complications

The reality is that the vast majority of the population are going to suffer from entirely preventable western diseases
The reality is that unless there is a truly global food crisis...this situation is not changing

If you want to be "healthy" you must make a conscious effort to do so, and structure your life to make it so

Otherwise, you'll end up like everyone else
Travel across America

Walk into any gas station and see what the food is thats offered

Go to any public school, see how inactive kids are unless they play sports

Go to any "office job" observe people sitting & barely moving for hours on end

They go home, watch TV for 5 hrs
Go to a department store, see how how the mannequins have gotten bigger

Get online, theres entire websites devoted to propagating the false idea of "health at any size"

Look up the Army stats for how the majority of the male population today is nowhere near fighting fit
Theres a thousand data points of evidence.

This the world you live in.

You're not changing it at scale, you only have control over yourself

What standards are you going to follow and enforce?
