This is something that came out of my looking at something else entirely. The Theory of Reasoned Action and Planned Behavior suggests that intention leads to action in order to satisfy a particular need. Intention, in turn, is comprised of Attitude, Subjective Norms and Perceived
Behavioral Control, all of which have their own components and which -in their totality- determine action. In the real world nothing is quite as simple as this, of course, as a variety of other factors kick in, but in the online world every person there is there by choice
which makes intention the primary driver behind each action. Why is all this important? Well, because consider that in semantic search divining intention is a key component of successfully answering a search query. Divining intention is also key to increasing conversions and
customer satisfaction for marketers. By carefully considering all these components you can now begin to see if your website's layout and content delivers as it should; if your business model works as well as you thought it did
and if your marketing truly fulfills its purpose. #marketing #search #business #onlinebusiness #semanticsearch
