Hate to pause a movie in the middle, but had to deal w/some things. That said, just finished SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, & i canNOT recommend it enough! Some fun #Frankenstein facts: Ygor (not "Igor" as it becomes later) is NOT a hunchback. He's a man once hanged who has a broken neck. It's in the NEXT Frankenstein sequel that a hunchback is intro'd...And, I kid you not, his name is.....

Basil Rathbone plays Jr. (aka the Son). In the last moments, u get to see WHY they got the swashbuckler for the role. In the 1st moments, Jr acknowledges the public(VIEWER'S) confusion calling the monster FRANKENSTEIN, stating 9 out of 10 don't know it's his family's name, BUT...
If you look at the poster AND the trailer, anytime the name #FRANKENSTEIN appears on screen, the MONSTER appears behind it, NOT the Dr. So this confusion comes from what I guess was @UniversalPics' 1930s #marketing department!

It's clear the film #YOUNGFRANKENSTEIN tells its story using the first 3 (at least) original Frankenstein #films as its springboard, but here's some bizarre notes about BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (which was awful): It opens w/a 4th-wall-breaking #MaryShelley telling the story. And...
It NEVER circles back to her telling the story frm her home (a castle where she apparently lives w/her brother n his "friend" [oh yeah, they're def'ly lovers (not really, but isn't that fun?)])...&, even MORE odd: The actor playing Shelley is the one who plays The Bride! AND....
The Bride, of which the film is NAMED, isn't introduced untilâI again kid you notâ4 MINUTES before the end of the film!!
