Many people (including me) told them their sums didn't add up, but the 20k figure is still on their website, and I'm not aware that King has retracted his 27k number.
In the subsequent seven weeks there have been 871 deaths (794 in England, 7 in NI, 5 in Scotland, 65 in Wales) https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/deaths  which is 18/day. Still, what's a factor of 4 or 5 between friends?
