Living safely is not just about developing new tools (rapid tests, drugs, vaccines) but about finding ways to optimize our existing tools (testing, tracing, isolating) We need to share lessons learned about the little ways to do things better. A few examples... #PIHchat https://twitter.com/PIH/status/1286393406651080704
Testing can be more effective if:
- People have an easy way to find a nearby testing site
- There are more appointments available
- People don't have to wait for hours
- Testing sites are safe, with everyone wearing masks

Mask-wearing can be more effective if:
- We identify settings where masks are and are not necessary to avoid fatigue (I don't wear a mask when walking around the neighborhood)
- Make masks available where they are required
- Find targeted messaging to increase uptake

Businesses can be safer if:
- Keep moving activities outdoors
- Increase indoor ventilation
- Install touchless devices
(There is a lot of research on Healthy Buildings that I find so interesting.)

All of this to say, we spend a lot of time talking about the big things (silver bullets) but there are so many little ways to improve, and everyone can help. When added together, they can go a long way. What are your ideas? Add them to the conversation at #PIHchat
