Things just took a turn for the worse for the United States #COVID19 deaths curve, literally

This occurred relatively quickly (expected lag 3-4 weeks) with the recent reopening surge in new cases (started June 8) and now exceeds any point in the pandemic, approaching 40,000 cases/day
Only 2 other countries have had a 2nd pronounced surge of new cases: Iran and Sweden. Following Iran's surge a month later the deaths have climbed precipitously. Sweden's is too recent to see whether that will also be the case, but likely.
Apparently, the new increase in US deaths may be attributed to this rise in New Jersey, a revision of death toll from April, published today. @OurWorldInData may want to raise their graph, take this into account
