College freshmen advice for #LSU22 and beyond: A thread.
To start this thread off I would like to say that LSU is a very big school. You will get lost. The app that saved me and helped me find my classes is Find My Class. It looks like this:
On to the important stuff: overrall, LSU is a very organized school, so you won’t really have to worry about problems regarding your financial aid or anything BUUUUT
MAKE SURE YOU SEND IN EVERY SINGLE DOCUMENT NEEDED TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. You will send in documents thinking you’re good then boom you have holds for days. So make sure your shit straight.
GO TO FUCKING CLASS. “That’s my easy class so I don’t really have to go.” Okay and watch your GPA go right out that damn window. Go. To. Class. You don’t want to miss valuable information.
TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS IN YOUR CLASSES. I know it’s awkward, but it helps you in the long run. LSU is verrrryyyyy big so make friends. What you don’t know or comprehend, your friend will.
If your class offers SI sessions, attend them. Most teachers can’t teach for shit so they have students who aces the class basically give tutoring. Go to them. They help.
Talk to your counselors. Most of them know what they be talking about and can guide you IF you let them.
The counselors at UCFY are very friendly and understanding of each situation and will recommend alternate paths you can take to stay on track.
If you’re a commuter, park in the right parking lot 
you don’t wanna come outside from class and see a parking ticket or your car gone. Do the right thing.

A good studying tip: after class, go over your notes for each class for about 15 or 30 minutes. After that, go take a nap or exercise or something. DONT CRAM.
Go to the UREC because tbh it’s nice af and I heard freshmen 15 is something serious.
I don’t think you’ll have to worry about freshmen 15 at LSU because that stress will make you lose weight 
Watch out for the squirrels. That’s their campus.
Also, check on your mental health. Make sure your sanity is in check. Talk to your parents about what’s really going on.
Oh yeah use office hours too. They work.

I never stayed on camous but those roommate stories are horrible. Make sure you include preferences when you room with people. I would hate for y’all to have to beat your roomie up. 
Be prepared to see wild shit everyday on campus no joke.
