There is no such thing as a good showrunner who is a bad person.
Leaders inspire others to action. Treating people disrespectfully only inspires fear and mistrust.

If you think others are beneath you in any way — even when not explicitly verbalized — the impact is still felt in the social cues you don’t know you’re giving off. Trust me.
I’ve apologized on behalf of others, and I’ve been apologized to on behalf of others. So many times.
Terrible people are terrible leaders regardless of the success of their endeavor. That they’ve found success despite their actions represents good fortune more than good leadership and is undoubtedly due to quality of the people around them.
Terrible people can make great art. But you can’t put them in charge of people and say they’re good at the job. The art is a product, the job is in the making of it. If the product is good, that is in spite of and not because of who they are.
The only way we are going the change the culture is to start calling a spade a spade. To continue the employment of someone “because it’s working” is one of the most toxic business practices imaginable.
