Question thread for the men on my TL in relation to feminism and social gender equality.
So guys, Do you consider yourself a good guy?
Do you consider yourself a feminist?
How often do you speak to the women around you, to get their insight on topics such as feminism, gender equality, societal norms, abortion rights and women’s health rights?
How often do you speak to the MEN around you, to get their insight on topics such as feminism, gender equality, societal norms, abortion rights and women’s health rights?
Guys, How often do you #checkyourbros when they say or do something offensive to a woman, that other women have expressed can be unsettling?
How often do you catch yourself saying something offensive, or casually sexist on a day to day basis?
Alright guys, let’s kick it up a notch.
Men, with more women coming forward saying they’ve had consensual but not mutually desired sex with men. IN YOUR HONEST OPINION, IN THIS ANON. POLL: How many women do you believe has had consensual but not mutually desired sex with you?
Men, IN YOUR HONEST OPINION IN THIS COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS POLL: Can you think back to most or all of your sexual (not just intercourse but oral/hand jobs) or intimate encounters(kissing, hugging etc.) with women and know that they were Consensual & Mutually desired?
Guys, is sexism a problem that women have or that men have?
Fellas, do you believe in systematic sexism?
Men, do you believe that systematic sexism is in racial groups and women’s rights tend to take a back seat to civil rights and that sexism comes second to racism?
Fellas, how often do you go out of your way to protect/defend women who appear to be in uncomfortable or unsettling situations?
Guys, do you actively work to improve gender equality in social, professional and political settings?
Gentlemen, you’ve finally made it to the last question! Lastly, would you feel comfortable enough to share this thread with your peers to promote a healthy, open and honest discussion about sexism, women’s equality, gender norms, social equality etc?
Shoutout to @soulpancake for the awesome video they put up showing a group of men casually, honestly and openly discussing sexism, feminism and gender equality(also; inspiring this thread!) https://www.facebook.com/soulpancake/videos/10155814827301117/
