3) You won't be surprised when I tell you Bill Gates was a strong supporter of Pearson because education needed "a free market, competitive platform" in order to get "the best".

4) Gates purported that Pearson was the right company because they were a one stop shop with a global footprint. Just what we need in our LOCAL education system. The word global is attractive to liberals!

5) It is designed to make we peons think that the smart people are taking care of us. Anyone with a child in school the last decade, knows this just isn't true. Back to Pearson...

6) Pearson is a $9 bil dollar company with global reach.
They don't just design curriculum, they design PARCC testing as well. Then they have an arm that helps states lead the change to CC and PARCC. They are a one stop shop!

7) How many of you thought that your state's set the curriculum and that the PARCC testing was the same "standard" nationwide. One would think it is, because kids go to college out of state...right? Wrong!

8) Pearson also has another division to "lead" states in establishing "Cut" scores. I thought the states used a nationwide "standardized" test though . The state education nazis will tell you they have full control over curriculum and testing & they take the lead. That's a Lie

9) Pearson also has a software arm so they can "help" individual states come up with the proper "Cut" score. In other words, some corporate punk walks into your state and dumbs down the tests depending on demographics.

10) No state has the same "Cut" score and districts within the state may not even have the cut score the state has. Again, targeted dumbing down! Did you know that Pearson gets paid handsomely for the ability to "lead" the state and districts in establishing cut scores?

11) The cut scores determine if your child makes it and is "college" ready based on the "standards" set forth by Pearson. A multibillion dollar company that could give a sh*t less about your child!

12) Pearson makes $240 million a year in PARCC testing alone! They are a global education company that started as a construction company. They answer to shareholders. Their main concern is making money off of your children, not educating them.

13) Would it surprise you, if I told you that Pearson was a sole source bid? In other words, our federal government wrote the bid specs around Pearson's unique ability to "service" different aspects, of the education arena. They wrote it intentionally to eliminate competition!

14) It sounds like Gates "free market" capitalist education competition went just swimmingly. It went just as a global elitist would prefer. They manadate and we tuck tail and fall in line.

15) There was a US company in the sate of Washington that wanted 2 bid but they couldn't meet all of the requirements set forth in the bid - Curriculum, creating & publishing text books, standardized testing,software 2 implement testing, a Suit on site 2 help them est. a cut etc

16) if you read through the lengthy article, you will find out how many times Pearson has been sued, 4 a multitude of reasons. This includes software issues which caused thousands of kids to fail PARCC & not B able 2 pursue the college of their dreams. The lawsuits continue today

17) All of these problems aside, they aren't what initially got my attention years ago. Both of my girls were smart but both would end a night in tears, after 4 hours of a 5 problem math assign. We wasted lots of trees doing assignments - you think libs would ban it on that alone

18) What got my attention was who was behind Pearson and who were the driving forces in the curriculum. Some of the assignments coming home were really disturbing.

19) What I learned infuriated me. Qaddafi invested and owns a 3.27% stake in Pearson. Yes, I realize he is dead, he has a massive family.
