Last fall, our comrades were able to hear Guy-Patrice Lumumba, son of Patrice, speak at an anti-imperialist event in Caracas, Venezuela along w/ @evoespueblo & @nicolasmaduro. Guy-Patrice ran for President of Congo on nationalization platform, carrying on legacy of his father.

On 22 February 1961, organizations in the Soviet Union named the university they had opened to offer free education to students of colonial & post-colonial nations, Patrice Lumumba University. By 1975, the University had more than 5,600 graduates from 89 foreign countries.
