Why are you paying more in a Private Hospital ?
Why is your treatment getting delayed in a Government Hospital ?
This thread explains
#Health care is never a Government Doctor vs Private Doctor issue
In Fact it is not even a Doctor vs Patient issue
It is Doctor + patient on one side and diseases on the other side
(Doctor + Patient) vs Disease
Unfortunately, inclusion of health care under consumer courts made it a doctor vs Patient issue in the 1990s
and now
Due to the after effects of this over past two decades, it has come to Govt Doctor vs Private Doctor
Private hospitals are run by corporates with an aim to make profit
Govt hospitals are run by govt to render service
There are few hospitals managed by society/trust which operate on minimal profit basis and they are sustained by donations etc
In all these, Doctors work and get salary
That's all
-
Each hospital has its own aims and objectives
We have to be clear about that
There is no need to assume that one is good and other is bad
Both are good
Both are bad !
Point1
Profit is the first aim for corporates and that is nothing wrong about it
We need to come out of the notion that profit is a bad word
If there is no profit in running a hospital
Then
These hospitals would not have been established in first place
