Okay, let's get this out the way, b/c I'm TIRED.

Tonight's alleged, "official," reported, undercounted and error-ridden state-wide #COVID19 numbers for NM (and it's Sunday, so cases & deaths are BOTH undercounts):
Supposedly 191,048 cases overall, up from yesterday's alleged 190,887 total, which should mean 161 new cases, but nope: NMDOH is reporting 167, meaning another 6 alleged prior "errors," "corrections" & deletions:
4 alleged "duplicates": 1 BernCo; 1 Chaves; 1 Cibola; 1 Eddy

AND

2 allegedly "not lab[-]confirmed": 1 Grant; 1 San Miguel.
They're reporting 0 new deaths, for an official total and known undercount still holding over from yesterday at 3,925 deaths overall.

It's Sunday. Yesterday, today, even tomorrow, will be undercounts, both cases and deaths, b/c some labs/offices refuse to report on weekends.
And STILL @NMDOH doubles down on their ableism, *racism*, and Trumpian ass-covering lies, consistently misreporting cases.

Not one person died of "underlying conditions."

ALL DIED STRICTLY OF #COVID19 AND YOUR POLITICAL AND GOVERNMENTAL FAILURES, YOU POISONOUS BIGOTS.
This is fuckshit behavior by "government." It's bigoted, it's ableist, it's RACIST, it's EUGENICS, and it's flatly inaccurate.

It's TRUMPSPEAK.

Pure evil, doubled down daily. Then they whine that they're misunderstood and nothing's their fault.
Also, I just love how they want to attribute people's deaths to "underlying conditions" & minimize the political impact by pretending it was the victims' own fault . . . and yet they're NOT taking those same "underlying conditions" into account to get folks vaccinated. HYPOCRITES
Done repeating myself on why this is pure evil; it's all in the 12/13 thread. But I'll never let this go:

This misreporting IS eugenics. And as I will say every night until our feckless governor gets her administration in fucking hand and comes correct: https://twitter.com/Ajijaakwe/status/1333961379322085377.
NOPE. I WILL NEVER, NEVER LET THIS GO.

I had hoped that the new secretary would be committed both to facts & to an anti-bigotry stance, stand up to the governor, & force her own staff to come correct. Apparently not, since if anything they're getting worse.
Testing fuckery: After -13,068 7 Fris ago (NEGATIVE 13K; how?), reporting ZERO, 01/28, now allegedly 2,979,887, up from yesterday's supposed 2,971,727. From declines to 28K+ on 02/11 to 5.2K on 02/16; last Wed 4,907, but over 14K last wknd; then halved; now 8,160?
And let's be REALLY FUCKING CLEAR: 2.9 million people have NOT BEEN TESTED. That's 600K more than the population of the state, for fuck's sake.

A huge percentage of that number is a year's worth of repeat tests on the same thousands of ppl (frontline/medical/essential).
It's like their breathless announcement 2 weekends ago that they had "vaccinated 1 million people." NOPE.

First, they mean they've *administered 1 million doses of vaccine." That IS NOT "vaccinated."
The vast majority of those doses are NOT J&J, and thus require 2 doses PLUS a time lag before you can call it "vaccination."

But I suspect it's an even bigger lie than that:
The governor and NMDOH are obfuscating here, and the media are helping them do it. There is an absolute difference of fact between "New Mexico has vaccinated 1 million people" and "1 million people who live in New Mexico have been vaccinated."
The former is a lie.

The second MIGHT be true. There are ~200K Native people residing within the bounds of this state. They haven't all been fully vaccinated yet, but I'l bet a majority have. And the state can take absolutely ZERO CREDIT for that.
Our vaccines came via IHS, which means through the feds. The governor and NMDOH had fuck-all to do with it. And I will not let them take credit for the hard work that our communities put in, with no fucking help from the state, to keep our peoples safe.
The SF New Mexican says today that they are NOT counting those, but offers no proof beyond a blanket assertion that quotes . . . oh, wait, absolutely no one, not even off the record. [So yeah, they've been counting 'em, at least until now. Somebody else noticed this here.]
But the testing bullshit: These #s are NOT a testing surge. But the gov said ALL students could return to school as of 02/08 safely.

You can't believe anything they say at this point. This has been A YEAR of political ass-covering.

ESPECIALLY WITH A TEST THEY *KNOW* IS FAULTY.
It's not just that I question whether anyone administered tests in the reported #s (altho I DO question it, openly). It's also that apparently now ALL state tests are Curative? With dangerously high rates of false negatives, as L.A. County now knows.
Los Angeles County had to cancel its contract with them. They were paying a 25-y/o multiply-failed tech bro with ZERO medical or epidemiological or scientific experience MILLIONS to provide this test, which returned absurdly high rates of false negatives.
SO HOW FUCKING MUCH OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IS NEW MEXICO PAYING THEM TO KEEP ITS NUMBERS ARTIFICIALLY SUPPRESSED? Because intentional or no, that's going to be the effect, and they KNOW it's the effect. [I mean, we're already paying for her damn Wagyu beef & booze. In a pandemic.]
HOW MANY FUCKING PEOPLE WALKING AROUND, UNQUARANTINED AND INFECTING OTHERS, BECAUSE THEY GOT A "NEGATIVE" THAT WASN'T?
Also, I'd be really interested to know when they switched to Curative, and whether it's exclusive. Could it be, perchance, AFTER the news came out about the dangerously high false-negative rate? Yes, I'm asking: WAS THIS DELIBERATE?
But schools fully open 04/05 & kids can't be vaccinated but they can catch and spread it; restaurants open NOW for in-person maskless dining. April's going to be another deadly shitfest. 24 schools already on the rapid-response list last month.
Look at what's happened to Michigan to see the folly of reopening schools.

But the governor has always had her sights set on higher office. And she wants to be able to say she got kids back to school.
