I don't look at resumes when interviewing.

I don't care what school you went to and I probably won't visit your LinkedIn.

Give me a cover letter or, better yet, a microsite that shows me who you are, what you've done, and most importantly why you're applying.
Use Notion, Carrd, Webflow, whatever.

You don't need to code it from scratch. But for certain roles/situations, this may be a fantastic way to show "proof of work".

Content is king as they say.
/Bio

This doesn't have to be an essay.

It could be as short as an elevator pitch.

If you write more, use storytelling to your advantage. https://twitter.com/RobbieCrab/status/1360399413601062913?s=20
/Proof of Work

Show me what you've worked on. If it's all NDA'd or private, explain what you've done.

Side projects and OS work are nice, but not required.

All I'm looking for are signals that I'm talking to the right candidate.
/Social Proof

Ask for some testimonials from past clients, bosses, or colleagues.

If you're on Twitter, curate a @shoutoutso_ wall like @edmundamoye

/Apply in Public

This is not required but is super effective.

@vensykrishna is the gold standard here. She built microsites, crafted a thread explaining her story, and curated a "wall of love". https://twitter.com/vensykrishna/status/1362566499420921860?s=20
/Apply in Public (cont'd)

@5harath is another great example. A prolific maker who's built in public for years. Twitter is his CV.

He's still on the market, but won't be for long. Make sure check him out 👇 https://twitter.com/5harath/status/1364981243864100872
