4/ Right now Linear exists on both Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, but they will expand to other protocols like Polkadot in the near future. Linear is the best way to get exposure to assets with unlimited liquidity and an intuitive and user friendly interface.
5/ But how does it work? Essentially, you deposit the native token $LINA to the platform, and use it as collateral to mint ℓUSD. ℓUSD is the stable asset, and can be used to trade assets on the Linear exchange https://exchange.linear.finance/
6/ You can also just hold the ℓUSD, which makes you part of the liquidity pool. You then act like a market maker, becoming the counterparty to every trade made on the platform.
7/ The participants in the liquidity pool earn a fee every time someone makes a trade on Linear, as well as earn $LINA for having minted the ℓUSD (think of it as single stake farming).
8/ Some numbers from last week via my own stats: APY on $LINA 173.7% with weekly compounding. 15.8% APR from trading fees. So this is what you gain from the small fee every trader pays to buy/sell assets.
