Every marginal person coming into this space will be less ideological and more pragmatic than the last. The result is an erosion of values over time.

The hypothesis that many people will pay extra for decentralization is still completey unproven.
By the way, this is no endorsement of BSC.

What I'm actually saying is that decentralization is costly, which ideologues may be happy to pay.

But for pragmatists to pay it as well, decentralizated systems need to deliver real extra value over centralized ones.
I personally bet on the hypothesis "enough users will pay extra for decentralization" being true.

I'm just honest with myself that it's a hypothesis and that it can very well fail.
