From the Scientific Committee press conference on their discussion conclusion this afternoon, I have the following questions / comments....

1) Committee stated “Sinovac” received numerous vote to clear for vaccination for over 60+ despite manufacturers recommended not to, when asked how many committee members attended the meeting, he regretted that he did not count from the zoom meeting, so, total number attendees..

....not confirm. So this numerous approval is from overall whole committee or from the number of people that actually attended this meeting? Serval known committee members expressed in public not to vaccinate this as BioNTech will be available soon...

2) When asked about vaccine protection %, he said that we should examine the data breakdown in detail instead of just use the overall protection %. He went in detail in explaining the breakdown figures quoting data from manufacturer and W.H.O..

There was a contradiction from his conclusion from these breakdown data. He explained that we should examine closely the protection % for different severity when contracted COVID-19. There is a serious deformed logic with this...

The overall protection % is the first barrier, if this % is high, that meant your protection against is high, i.e. BioNTech is 90-95%, so out of 100 people, around 5 to 10 people may still contract the virus, whereas Sinovac is only 60.5% max....

The subsequent indication on protection on illness severity is the second barrier. If the first barrier meet with high %, the second barrier protection should be less relevant as this number must be low.

What is the point if the first protection is only 60%, that meant 40 out of 100 people may still contract the virus. So, the most important number must be the overall protection %. If % is high , less people infect with virus.

Declaration: I do not work in medicine or have medical qualifications except first aid training. I seriously think the logic behind this committee recommended is not sound / justify. Please think & choose carefully on which vaccine to vaccinate yourself with. Thank you.
