Today's #Covid19Cymru headlines:
At first glance today's cases figures look bad. But they are not as bad as they appear. Positivity is at its second lowest post-peak, and R is down a touch. Deaths fall further.

There is likely to be some concern, with new 533 cases reported today. However, as my model (which admittedly I need to revise) had predicted 518, I'm not particularly concerned. Friday seems to be the new peak day; until recently it was Saturday.

It seems to me that this is a good sign; results are being turned around faster, presumably due to having fewer tests, as cases fall. Positivity is second lowest only to yesterday post-peak, at 6.9%.

In other words, today's high total merely represents a larger number of test results coming through today.
7-day average: 376 - DOWN 10 (lowest since the end of September)

R (estimate): 0.87 - DOWN 0.02
One word of caution about the R rate though; recent by-sample-date data is suggesting this might be rising, though unfortunately those data have been slow coming through in recent days, so I don't have today's data for that yet.

#Ceredigion saw 4 new cases. In terms of number of cases, this is the lowest in Cymru. Monmouthshire wins in cases per 100K, at 2.6%, 5 cases (cf Ceredigion 3.0%)
