Aymeric Laporte :The maestro at the heart of City's defence [A THREAD]

(likes and rts appreciated)
@Laporte 💙💙
Aymeric Laporte signed for Manchester City from Athletic Bilbao in January for a transfer fee of 57mn pounds . The transfer turned out to be a huge success story.
In three years at Manchester City Laporte has already won the PL twice ,the Carabao Cup thrice ,the FA Cup once and the Community Shield twice,thus winning 8 trophies in 3 years ,which is impressive.
He was brought in that season because of inconsistencies in the form of John Stones and injuries to Vincent Kompany.He played a vital role in the second half of 17/18 season and got his name engraved on history books by being a part of the greatest PL squad -"the centurions"
With Otamendi ageing and having poor form and Laporte impressing in the previous season he became the first choice CB for City in 18/19 season, helping the club to win an unprecedented and a record-breaking domestic quadraple, keeping 23 clean sheets in 51 matches.
No City fan will ever forget Aymeric's performance against Liverpool in the 2-1 win in 18/19.He put in a huge performance vs Liverpool while playing out of position at Left-Back and it was his cross which started the attack which led to Aguero score💙
The 19/20 season was an injury ravaged season for Laporte,he was such a crucial player that his injury proved to be the reason why City's title challenge ended prematurely last season leading to Liverpool running away with the title comfortably.
He played only 20 matches in 19/20 and was a part of the XI in both the legs against Real Madrid which was a historic win for City. He came back from injury towards the end of the season and was a major help to Ederson to win the golden glove. He also won the Carabao Cup in 19/20
Off the field Aymeric is a great person , he's very passionate about the club ,loves the fans and often engages in friendly banter with football fans as shown in the pic below
He has one of the most positive personalties among City players, always emanates good vibes,seems to be always happy and smiling(except when he's on the pitch - defending, causing fear in the mind of the opposition strikers😈)
He's a classy person as well. After the Man City vs Leeds match he gave his shirt to Marcelo Bielsa,who had been instrumental in Laporte's rise as a professional footballer during his time at Athletic Bilbao.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for Aymeric Laporte ,he has been an integral part of our club during the two record breaking seasons and without him our club wouldn't be there where we are today.
I wouldn't exchange Laporte for any other defender,not even Maldini,Ramos or Nesta. I hope he spends the rest of his career at City and retires here. We don't claim the one's who hate on Laporte as City fans,he owes nothing to us but we owe everything to him for City's success💙
Pep Guardiola rightly hailed Laporte as the "best left-footed centre back in the world" last year.
Roy Keane termed Laporte as "excellent" during his 18/19 PL winning season
