I'm very much a fan of the artistry of ancient colonizers, and I do understand the dichotomy between my love for their art and my disagreement with their policies and practices. I tend to leave those things be in the past and try not to repeat the same mistakes

No one alive today would be here if our ancestors didn't fight for survival. We cannot overlook that reality, we must move forward from other-ing and anonym-izing people we disagree with, unless those people are the genociders themselves. Unity can't happen with white supremacy.
If we want safe communites and cooperatively owned food production spaces we cannot go around in those spaces and be dividing humans up by races or ability or skin color or even calling people species of animals they don't identify with, these things hurt and take away consent.
Chosen identities are the only way to have safety in communites. It is a sign of consent based respect. Its literally the barest of minimums you can provide someone also, and it needs to be balanced with completely free housing and food access, no strings attached.
That means you cannot require people to believe any specific way to have access to those things either. There's a clear distinction between beliefs and violation of consent. Your religious beliefs and suggestive control end where my body and my mind begins. My body. My choice.
That goes for your kids too, human pet owners. You cannot brainwash children to believe your religious lies and consent intolerant lies any more. That doesn't mean you can't communicate cultural beliefs or traditions, it means you cant force your sky rape god onto your 2 year old
What you're doing is raping children when you force them to believe in the same gods as you, and if you don't understand why then maybe you are a perfect example of why this should never be happening to children. People who force adult gods onto children are pedophiles.
This is supposed to be an adult thing exclusively. Its a voming of age ritual. You choose you god and worship them, and if they hurt you you switch to a god that doesn't. This is why in Japan Shintoism and Buddhism coexist side by side.
There is a thought consent in Japan that's completely missing in the west.
