Just putting this out there, when it comes to aspects in synastry, they beat the sign that the planets are in. The sign does have an effect, but it's really not like the typical communication of the planet.

For example, when mars aspects venus, the mars will ALWAYS take initiative, even if venus is in an assertive sign, and mars is in a less assertive sign. This dynamic could get a bit uncomfortable and new, and they might run away from it, but the urges will be there

I see a lot of people saying that when aries venus aspects someone's mars in cancer, or mars in libra, aries venus takes initiative, and that's just not going to happen. Mars will always take the initiative, and if it's badly placed, be freaked out by this need, bc they're not

used to that. and, venus will become way more passive, which will also scare the venus person, bc they aren't used to that
