Well worth reading into some of the criticism of proof of stake, if you are starting to compare apples with oranges in #crypto https://medium.com/@abhisharm/understanding-proof-of-stake-through-its-flaws-pt-1-6728020994a1
It's generally thought that a proof of burn paired with proof of work, is more secure than proof of stake. Burn introduces deflation though. PoB and PoS are faster, but have their own flaws. Don't let anyone sell you different.
Basically you might hear 'x coin is faster, or has no fees'. But that comes with costs. Better to have PoW as your main network, and use other networks as secondary carriers, than to introduce the flaws of PoS or deflation to your main network - IMO.
Might be above the heads of some casual doge fans. But this is the complexity of these 'newer' network styles. Simply put, everything has a cost in these models. If it's faster, cheaper, doesn't use mining - odds are it's less decentralized, less secure, more prone to attacks.
Or as with proof of burn, it is deflationary and requires a proof of work network to function anyway.
