There is an important lesson in how the left views their own power.

Rush Limbaugh did, briefly, hold a segment making fun of AIDS in the late 80's which featured social commentary on the gay sexual revolution.

But he apologized.
Not due to backlash, but his own growth.

He stopped the segment after two weeks when he realized it was hurting real people suffering from the disease, something he stated was never his intention.

On his own he did this.
He never broke that vow after.

Yet all the left will tell you is the sin itself.

The tangible and genuine repentance of the man who realized he went too far is irrelevant to them because in their view he does not deserve forgiveness. He only deserves eternal punishment.

Most LGBT stories citing this note he apologized, but they put the sin in the headline.

If a person can be damned for all time for an action even after showing genuine regret, it demonstrates a cruel and vindictive society that knows only vengeance, not justice.

Every leftwing source attempting to condemn Rush once more for this sin is acting in cruel vengeance.
