First question you may or may not have: What is a fictive?
A fictive- or introject- is an alter in a DID/OSDD system that was formed based on a character from a fictional source whether that be from a show, a movie, or even a book! (Im sure theres more sources.)

Another question: What is kinning?
my understanding of what kinning is, is when it refers to when someone either heavily relating to- or seeing themselves in a character.

Now as a fictive, PERSONALLY... I find it strange when people kin me or treat kins higher than fictives or DA’s. For example, saying they’re the irl character when in reality they don’t know they’re invalidating fictives and those with DA’s.
Now, I have absolutely no problems with people with DA’s because they genuinely, truly, can’t help it.
I don’t have issues with kinnies either, but the problem arises when they treat their kins as alters when in reality it’s just a kin.

I’ve seen countless people use “core” as a kinning term when in reality, it’s actually a DID/OSDD term. Same with the words “front” or “fronting.” Once again.... these are DID/OSDD terms....
TLDR: I have no problems with kinning unless they are prioritized above fictives and delusional attachments!!!
