Whatever one believes about the situation in Xinjiang, either those who believe there's a "genocide" taking place and those who don't, we should be honest and acknowledge that there ARE testimonies from Uyghurs DENYING there's a genocide, and outside Muslim visitors to XJ as well
It's NOT a matter of "believing Uyghurs" or not. We absolutely should listen. But when they CONTRADICT each other, we have to PICK WHICH UYGHURS we choose to believe and listen to. I'm very skeptical of reports sourcing military-industrial-complex https://thegrayzone.com/2018/08/23/un-did-not-report-china-internment-camps-uighur-muslims/
Again, those who believe the unverified accusations of "genocide" in Xinjiang should admit that there HAVE been external visitors to XJ. They should just admit that they believe western reporters more than foreign diplomats from multiple Muslim countries https://www.thenews.com.pk/latest/422970-pakistani-diplomat-narrates-visit-to-chinas-xinjiang
Another external visitor to XJ is the World Bank. People should decide whether they believe the speculations of western journalists or those who have actually been. It's not a matter of "believing testimonies", but WHICH testimonies we listen to https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/statement/2019/11/11/world-bank-statement-on-review-of-project-in-xinjiang-china
If you dont believe the World Bank, multiple diplomats from Muslim countries, or Uyghurs denying that there's a genocide and believe western journalists are more honest/reliable sources, then its strange how their own visits cant find any wrongdoing either https://medium.com/@sunfeiyang/breaking-down-the-bbcs-visit-to-hotan-xinjiang-e284934a7aab
In another report from western journalists visiting XJ vocational centers, they admit that they can't find any wrongdoing either. They speculate that the visit is "choreographed" without evidence. That's a real possibility, but they provide no proof either https://www.npr.org/2019/05/07/720608802/reporters-notebook-uighurs-held-for-extremist-thoughts-they-didnt-know-they-had
