okay so let’s discuss this. Tete isn’t dense. He wrote in the letter “I wish it was me.” He genuinely doesn’t think Jeongguk is his soulmate. I know it may seem frustrating but the soulmate system is quite simple, if you have initials then have a dream that person is your soulmate. Taehyung believes in this system to a fault because he doesn’t know if jungkon truly had a dream of him but he wasn’t speaking to jk
at the time and eventually grew to love jungkon. But his feelings for jk is so strong he decided to be with jk ignoring the soulmate system because jungkon said to go figure it out. taekook realized they’re in love but jin comes along and basically gives tae a reality check
that this isn’t his soulmate no matter what he wants. it causes tae to break jks heart and HIS OWN by going back to the man he believes is his soulmate. So is he dense?? NO!! IS HE STUPID?? NO!! He just recently started questioning it when jk told him he was his soulmate.
