This Policy Exchange report by Simpson and Kaufmann polled people on whether they agreed with Cardiff University's decision to de-platform Germaine Greer. The problem is that she wasn't de-platformed.
There is now a footnote mentioning this. I am pretty sure it wasn't there when I looked at it yesterday so I went to check the last modification to the uploaded pdf in properties
https://policyexchange.org.uk/publication/academic-freedom-in-the-uk/

Modified yesterday 22:52.
Anyhow it doesn't really change the fact that respondents were misled to believe that she wasn't able to speak.
Original version is here: https://web.archive.org/web/20210128225415/https://policyexchange.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Academic-freedom-in-the-UK.pdf
I think the good practice in journalism or science is to publicly acknowledge the modification rather than do it surreptitiously. In politics they have other standards of course.
On to other things now.
