The Chicago Bulls will only have 4 players they are truly committed too after next season. Patrick Williams, Coby White, 2021 1st rounder, 2022 2nd rounder. In terms of salary we are talking ~25mil.

Now assuming Lavine is maxed out, ~60mil.
With Lauri also, ~80mil
With WCJ also ~95mil

These are rough numbers and projections on future salary. Haven't factored free agent signings this offseason(2021).
But if the Bulls were to keep Lavine/Lauri/WCJ with White/PWill/21' and 22' 1st, realistically there is only about ~20mil to fill out roster
And that 20mil would have probably been used in free agency the previous off-season. With this core the Bulls have played better, but it isn't realistic to think this core is a championship core. Perhaps can be good one day, but needs more around it. At least in my opinion.
I'm not sure the Bulls future will include all three of Lavine/Markkanen/WCJ. The money it will take to retain all 3 will pay them as your 3 best players. And I'm not sure that is the 3 best players on a championship team. It is likely 2 of 3 is kept, maybe even 1.
Perhaps you retain them and try to trade them later, but what I do know to add the player needed for this team to take the next step keeping all 3 isn't realistic. Unless the Bulls strike gold with one of those picks, or someone else takes a step to an All-Star level.
The deadline for the Bulls to me is about one thing right now? Is Lauri staying or being traded? There are other questions about the vets, but to me the decision on Lauri Markkanen will paint a big picture on what the Bulls are trying to do moving forward. More so if he is traded
I'm not sure if the Bulls have decided on what they want to do, but I think there is probably an understanding of what I just spoke on. Keeping Lavine/WCJ/Lauri probably isn't the path to a championship, at least it doesn't seem so yet. Some tough decisions ahead.
